Roof damage check
Look from the ground first. Never climb a wet or damaged roof. Tick what you see.
Nothing ticked yet. A roof can still have hidden problems, so an inspection is the only way to be sure.

The guy on the roof, not the guy in the sales pitch
I put my name on every answer I give. If your roof needs work, I'll show you the photos and explain it in plain words. If it doesn't, I'll tell you that too.
This site is where I share what I learn in the field: what roofs actually fail from, how insurance claims really go, and how to avoid getting talked into the wrong job.

15 years in the roofing industry. I work with Renoir Restoration, and The Bearded Roofer is my own personal brand. I serve the Charlotte metro area, anywhere within about a 1.5-hour drive of the center of Charlotte. I am fully bonded and insured.

Quick answers
How much does a roof inspection cost?
It is free, with no strings attached. You do not have to file a claim for me to come out, and there is no pressure to sign anything.
Will insurance pay for my roof?
It depends on your policy, the cause of damage, and your insurer's decision. I can help you document what you see. I can't promise any claim outcome.
Should I climb up and look myself?
No. Use binoculars or your phone zoom from the ground and check the attic. Roofs are dangerous, especially wet or damaged ones.
How fast will I hear back?
You get an instant email when you send a request, and I aim to call you back within 5 minutes. Hours: Monday to Friday 8 am to 6 pm, Saturday by appointment only, closed Sundays. Emergency tarping is available 24/7.
Should I call or send a request?
Call or text for the fastest answer. If you have photos, send a request and I'll look at them first so my answer is useful instead of a guess.
