I'm John, the Bearded Roofer. I help homeowners figure out what is actually wrong, what can wait, and what to do next, before anyone asks you to sign anything.

New: Roof Maintenance Plan

Four visits a year. Your roof stays covered.

I come out four times a year to check everything on your roof and clean out your gutters, so small problems get caught before they turn into big bills.

Nothing flagged

Nothing ticked yet. A roof can still have hidden problems, so an inspection is the only way to be sure.

About John

The guy on the roof, not the guy in the sales pitch

I put my name on every answer I give. If your roof needs work, I'll show you the photos and explain it in plain words. If it doesn't, I'll tell you that too.

This site is where I share what I learn in the field: what roofs actually fail from, how insurance claims really go, and how to avoid getting talked into the wrong job.

John to fill in: years in roofing, service area, license and insurance numbers, and one short story from a job. Nothing goes live until these are real and approved.

Questions I get a lot

Quick answers

How much does a roof inspection cost?

[John to confirm his policy before this goes live.]

Will insurance pay for my roof?

It depends on your policy, the cause of damage, and your insurer's decision. I can help you document what you see. I can't promise any claim outcome.

Should I climb up and look myself?

No. Use binoculars or your phone zoom from the ground and check the attic. Roofs are dangerous, especially wet or damaged ones.

How fast will I hear back?

[John to confirm his real response time.]

Should I call or send a request?

Call or text for the fastest answer. If you have photos, send a request and I'll look at them first so my answer is useful instead of a guess.
